The NAGARATHAR SANGAM OF NORTH AMERICA ("NSNA") is a non-profit, charitable, non-political, tax-exempt community-based organization that was founded in 1976 to foster cohesive understanding and cooperation between Nagarathars in North America.
Vision
To preserve and protect the rich heritage and culture of Nattukottai Nagarathars while fostering their growth, and enhance the quality of life for all Nagarathars.
Objective
The main objectives of this organization are to:
Since its inception the organization has been able to uphold its objectives through its wide spectrum of activities. New initiatives recognize the long-standing generational growth of the Nagarathar community and serves to foster cross-cultural appreciation and understanding with other communities and organizations with similar objectives in North America.
Contributions to NSNA are exempt from United States federal income tax under Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated leadership of NSNA over the years, which has allowed our organization to flourish since its humble beginnings in 1976. As we approach the golden jubilee celebrations of NSNA, Atlanta takes great pride in being entrusted with administering the NSNA Executive Committee for the 2025-2026 term. I am truly honored to lead this talented team during this important milestone and look forward to serving our beloved community.
The Nagarathars are a Chettiar community that originated in Kaveripoompattinam under the Chola kingdom of India. They are a prominent mercantile caste in Tamil Nadu, South India. Nagarathar business people are Hindus, predominantly originating in the Chettinad region of Tamilnadu. They have been trading with Southeast Asia since the heyday of the Chola empire, but in the 19th Century they migrated to countries throughout Southeast Asia. Nagarathars, also known as Nattukkottai Chettiars, were an important trading class of 19th and 20th century South East Asia and spread to Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Malayasia, Singapore, Java, Sumatra, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Vcutwork represents a beautiful intersection of negative space and structural integrity. By removing sections of base fabric, designers can create intricate geometric patterns that seem to float, held together by meticulously placed threads. Modern applications of Vcutwork span several industries:
Creating 3D built-up letters, light boxes, and structural signs from Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) or Dibond [1].
Desperate, he asked: Can I undo it?
: Artisans stitch a decorative border onto a contrasting fabric, precisely cut out the inner residual fabric with small, sharp scissors, and flip the facing inward to reveal a flawless, hollow edge.
What (e.g., foam, cardboard, aluminum composite) are you planning to work with?
Laser machinery uses a concentrated beam of light to burn or vaporize the material along a pre-programmed digital path.
In fashion design, "v-cut work" specifically describes the process of tailoring sharp, deep "V" shaped necklines or hemlines that require precise structural reinforcement to maintain their shape. 🪵 Woodworking & Carving
Efficient material usage is crucial in manufacturing, and VCutWork supports powerful automatic "nesting" algorithms that intelligently arrange cut pieces to minimize waste. The software then controls high-precision motion, managing servo motors from brands like Panasonic and Delta to ensure accuracy down to +/- 0.1 mm. Users can fine-tune parameters such as jump speed, acceleration, and corner settings to optimize the cut quality. For example, setting the "tool lift angle" to 180° prevents the tool from lifting at corners, enabling a continuous cut and improving both speed and finish quality.
The next morning, his boss called him into a glass-walled office. “The Meridian Tower collapse,” the boss said, sliding a grainy photo across the desk. Leo stared. The tower had pancaked at 9:47 AM yesterday. He’d seen the news. But in the photo, a thin, almost invisible vertical slice ran from the 12th floor to the ground. Where the cut passed, the rubble simply wasn’t . No debris. No screaming. Just a clean, glassy scar in the pavement.
: The software manages parameters for oscillating knives, which handle soft materials like leather, fabric, foam, and rubber.
The depth of the cut is the most critical variable. If the cut is too shallow, the material will crack or deform when folded. If the cut is too deep, the material will snap prematurely. Advanced sensors continuously monitor the remaining "web" thickness to ensure accuracy down to the micrometer.
: Fine-tuning the Z-axis to ensure the V-cut scores the material deep enough to fold but not so deep it severs the hinge.
