This is the most common goal of these mods. Two or more players work together to explore the neighbor's house, collect items, and solve puzzles, all while avoiding the AI-controlled neighbor. It transforms the game from a tense solo horror experience into a frantic, team-based puzzle-solving adventure where communication is key.
The game’s sandbox design, however, screams for co-op. The map is vast. The puzzles are complex, often requiring you to be in two places at once: distracting the Neighbor while unlocking a back door, or holding a pressure plate while another player grabs the key. In single-player, this results in frantic, clumsy running. With the mod, it becomes a heist.
