Android devices feature Factory Reset Protection (FRP). To prevent getting locked out after the reset, remove your Google account first. Open the app. Scroll down and tap Accounts . Once the process is complete, your phone will reboot, and you will be greeted by the initial setup screen, just like when you first bought it.

If your phone is completely frozen, won’t boot past the logo, or you’ve forgotten your password, skip to Method 2.
